This is Sarah & Allie! Sarah got in touch with me a mere three weeks before her and Allie’s “spur-of-the-moment same-sex elopement” – and I was SO happy that I was available! They live in Chicago, but they actually held the ceremony at their Best Man’s parents’ home in Sharon, Massachusetts. It was so beautiful and intimate – the only people present were Sarah & Allie, their Best Man, his fiance (also a good friend of theirs), and their Best Man’s parents (and dog!)… and then me and the officiant. This is Hilary & Don! The two of them had a pretty whirlwind experience getting together — meeting through friends, becoming friends themselves, and getting together… but then Don got deployed to Iraq. It was a long wait, but Hilary said they were back together within a couple months of his arrival, despite neither of them thinking they had a chance with the other. He proposed to her on New Year’s Eve 2010, and they had a quick 10 month engagement before celebrating on their wedding day!
