Wedding at Ri Ra in Portland, Maine | Stephanie & Mike!

This wedding at Ri Ra — right in the heart of Portland, Maine — was so beautiful and love-filled and awesome! Stephanie actually got referred to me by Katie Gore from Ollo Hair Salon — I love that lady!! — and I was so happy she did. This was a second marriage for both Stephanie and Mike. They met at a birthday party at Stephanie’s apartment — her roommate had thrown it for her best friend and Mike was part of that friend group. He asked her to dinner and, as she puts it, “they’ve been adventuring ever since”! They wanted to keep the wedding low-key and just focus on the parts that matter most: their love, friends, and family. We started the day with Stephanie getting ready with her ladies (and the ladies from Ollo Hair Salon, of course!) at the Residence Inn in Scarborough. We watched the weather and made sure no rain was coming (it was a cloudy day!) and then headed to Pleasant Hill Preserve for their First Look as well as some private vows for Stephanie and Mike (which was awesome even if we had to pick a zillion ticks off of the long dresses after!). Mike’s family is Greek so they had their ceremony at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco, Maine — I had never seen a traditional Greek wedding ceremony so that was fascinating, and the church is gorgeous! Then we headed into Portland for their reception at Ri Ra, right on the water! It WAS raining by that point, so we stuck indoors and just partied and enjoyed the atmosphere. 🙂 Such an awesome day!
