Hilary and Rich had an absolutely beautiful (and unique!) elopement. They went to Castle Hill Resort & Spa in Ludlow, Vermont, nestled right in the Green Mountains. Hilary got herself all dolled up at the Aveda salon and they met in the library of the main castle, which was just FANTASTIC. I didn’t realize how much I was dying to photograph a library ceremony until it was right there in front of me! Hilary wore the most fantastic orange dress (Rich’s favorite color, and a complete surprise to him!) and the two of them were just ecstatically excited! Congratulations to you both!

Going on a Picnic!
I am heading into Portland today to photograph Picnic Music+Arts Festival today — and to hang out with a good friend of mine who I haven’t seen in SO LONG. There’s going to be live music playing all day long (from the likes of Foam Castles, Wood Burning Cat, Phantom Buffalo, and more!) plus TONS of awesome local vendors. I personally am excited to see all the gorgeous handmade clothing, and to buy me some adorable crafty decorations for the apartment.
