Wedding at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine | Martha & Devon!

This wedding at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield was such incredible, creative, renaissance goodness! Martha found me on Offbeat Bride, naturally, and as soon as I heard that they planned to be in costume alongside their guests, I was SOLD. I also absolutely LOVE Stone Mountain Arts Center after I photographed Shauna & Max’s wedding there so I was psyched to go back. Martha and Devon met through fencing in high school and started dating right before college. Devon proposed at an ice cream shop with a bite of brownie sundae after someone with PERFECT timing drove by and shouted “just do it!”. These two are the perfect blend of extremely laid-back and focused on the people, the food, and the experience while also incorporating their personal style and creativity into the day. Beyond the theme itself, which was INCREDIBLE, Martha also handmade an embroidered banner for their ceremony AND made her own dress! Freaking incredible. I think every single person there (except me, I seriously missed out) was in pretty extravagant costume and the whole feel of the day was incredibly whimsical and a bit surreal. They had swords and incredible food and cake with little dragon toppers and… yeah, it was just a great day. 🙂
