Katherine & Kyle’s Ocean Gateway Wedding! Portland, ME // 04.23.16

Katherine & Kyle’s Ocean Gateway wedding was such a sweet, intimate celebration. Katherine told me early on that their mantra for the wedding was “keep it simple” and I think they achieved that while still bringing such elegant beauty to the day! We did their engagement photos in Portland as well, so the city holds a lot of meaning for them, despite living down in Massachusetts (Kyle’s parents live in Cape Elizabeth so Maine has always had a soft spot in their hearts).

They are very outdoorsy, cold-weather people which came in handy since Maine in late April can either be the most beautiful, warm spring day or it can have winds and cold more reminiscent of February… and we got the latter. 😉 But they had so much fun laughing through their family portraits that we hardly noticed at all! The day was just focused around people laughing and having fun — it was amazing!
