These engagement photos in downtown Portland, Maine were extra special because Jemila actually proposed to Carrie! They were on a trip to Maine to celebrate Carrie proposing to Jemila, but what Carrie didn’t know is that Jemila planned to return the favor… ON CAMERA! This post focuses on just their couple photos, really, since the engagement was so quick and personal. But I was incredibly honored to be present. Proposals are one of my FAVORITE things to photograph. I love helping couples have a special experience together and allow them to be themselves and truly have fun in the process. 🙂

Portland Headlight Proposal | Brett & Crystal!
This Portland Headlight proposal with Brett and Crystal was just the sweetest damn thing — such a happy couple! Brett got in touch with me and told me all about their trip to Maine and how he wanted to have a super special proposal to Crystal. He wanted to really capture the essence of Maine and there aren’t many places you can do that better than Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth.
