Maine Photographer | My Favorite Photos of 2018!

Maine Photographer | I am a few days late, as always, but I wanted to make a post highlighting my favorite photos of 2018, because it was a fun one! I photographed 16 weddings — 13 in Maine (probably the year I stayed closest to home!), one in Rhode Island, one in Massachusetts, and one in CALIFORNIA! I also photographed 117 portrait sessions, which miiiight be a record for me. The majority of those were families — 59 family sessions! I also did 11 engagement sessions, 4 senior sessions, 8 boudoir sessions, 3 maternity sessions, 4 business photoshoots, 6 couple sessions, 3 proposals (more of these, please!), 13 head shot sessions, 1 Celebrate Life session, and 5 that couldn’t really be categorized (a portrait session with a horse, a birthday photoshoot, two yoga sessions, and a 1-year birthday party!). I am so lucky that my job naturally offers so much VARIETY. I get to photograph people of all ages, almost always celebrating happy events or milestones. I traveled all over Maine and New England and got to photograph at clients’ homes, on the beach, at lake houses, in various downtowns, at breweries & wineries, City Halls, in the woods, at state parks, on islands, even at cemeteries and witch houses! I hope 2019 continues this trend because I’m ready for even more adventures & celebrations. 🙂

This selection of favorites is at least one from EVERY sessions I did (except a handful where the clients requested privacy). As much as I looooove bold color, I was surprised at how many of my favorites were black & white! You also might notice there’s almost NO photos that don’t include people. I love photographing your wedding details, but the people photos are the ones I treasure the most! I also focused mostly on the couples and their close friends/family rather than photos of mingling at cocktail hour or dancing… though I could probably do a whole separate post of just “favorite candid photos of strangers doing awesome things”. 😉 Enjoy!
