This is Melissa & Colin! Melissa first contacted me in mid-2010 about their wedding. Her and Colin have one of the cutest (and most fateful!) meeting stories I’ve ever heard. Back in 2007, Melissa called out of work “sick” and went to visit her Mom at her job at a small cafe. Her Mom mentioned that some guys had been in earlier and chatted with her, and that one of them (not Colin) asked if she had a daughter. This is Katie & Joel! They returned to their home state of Maine in 2007 for Joel to attend law school, and couldn’t think of a more perfect place to have their wedding. They had their ceremony at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, Maine, and did something a bit unique. Their ceremony ended around 2:00pm, but their reception, at The Portland Club (one of my all-time favorite spots in the Portland area!), didn’t start until 5:00pm.
