Kellie & Owen's Quintessential Portland, Maine Wedding!

Kellie & Owen’s quintessential Portland, Maine wedding was one of my favorites of the whole year — these two just RADIATE joy! These two met in Washington, DC — they were both living there post-college. Kellie was playing electric viola in a band and a mutual friend brought Owen to see one of their shows. They hit it off that night and soon after had their first official date in a park in DC, where Owen would propose several years later! They live in New York City now but Kellie grew up in Portland and Owen became a big fan after many visits with her. I mean, how could you not? They really wanted Portland to be the star of the show and wanted to highlight the beauty of it, so we explored a few different locations throughout the day!

They got ready at the Westin Portland Harborview — one of my favorite spots — and I was lucky enough to get shots of Owen with the guys as well as Kellie with the girls! They also did their First Look up on the roof which was SO MUCH FREAKING FUN (also just the right amount of scary because it was pretty windy that day). We then took a trolley over to the East End Beach area to get some wedding party photos by the water, and we stopped off by the Portland Company Complex as well for some classic brick photos! They had their ceremony at the Maine Irish Heritage Center — beautiful both inside and out — and then we took some more photos in that area before heading to Portland’s Ocean Gateway for their reception! Just a perfect array of locations and these two did it with HUGE smiles on their faces all day!
