The School Sessions!

I am proud to announce that I am joining HUNDREDS of other photographers across the globe to help raise money to build a school in Haiti as part of The School Sessions!

This is a one-day event taking place on April 12th, 2015 and the goal is to raise $200,000 to build a school in Mellier, Haiti. From the website: “The School Sessions is raising $200,000 to buy land and fund construction of a ten-classroom, concrete, earthquake- and hurricane-proof building. Our partner organization, Hope Force International, will be managing all funds and working with a local contractor on the project. The contractor’s previous experience includes World Relief sponsored homes and ‘Houses of Hope.’ ECCA’s motto is “Educated to Serve.” The Laguerres, other teachers and families of students in the community will all be involved in this project, volunteering their time to make the building happen.”

For me, having a chance to donate my time and my talents for good — to give these kids a shot at an amazing education and bettering their lives and their future — is amazing. If I can help in any small way, I’d be honored! So, how does it work? I’m offering 1-hour portrait sessions of any kind (couples/engagement/anniversary, family, maternity, babies, senior photos, pets, and head shots) for $150 if the shoot is local (includes travel up to 30 minutes from Portland, ME) or $250 if the shoot is not local (includes travel up to 2 hours from Portland, ME, which includes Boston), which is over 50% off my normal pricing! These shoots can be booked for ANY TIME in 2015, but the session fee must be paid in full by or on April 12th, 2015. If you’d like to book, just contact me at justine@justinejohnsonphotography.com and let me know! I’ll send you a link to pay the session fee directly on the School Sessions website — 100% of the proceeds will go directly to this worthy cause. Once I receive a copy of your proof of payment, we can schedule your date. You get AWESOME photos and kids in Haiti get an AWESOME school. Sounds too good to be true, right? 🙂 LET’S DO THIS!
