This Portland Head Light proposal was so sweet — I love capturing beautiful surprises like this, it’s so fun! Ryan contacted me letting me know that him and Marit were traveling to Maine from Minnesota. They had a break from school and wanted to get away for a bit. He let me know that they’d been dating for almost 5 years so Marit likely knew a proposal was coming someday. We planned to meet at Fort Williams Park and he wanted to propose with a view of Portland Head Light, so we made it happen! East End Beach Proposal in Portland, Maine | Tristan & Alex!
This East End Beach proposal was so incredibly sweet — Tristan did such an amazing job surprising Alex! Tristan got in touch and let me know that he was visiting Portland with his girlfriend Alex and, well, he wanted to end the trip with a fiancé instead! We chatted a ton and came up with an awesome plan to get his proposal on camera. While I often “hide” and capture proposals more covertly, Tristan knew it would be best to tell Alex he had booked a photoshoot with a local photographer for fun photos during their visit.
