This is Melissa & Colin! Melissa first contacted me in mid-2010 about their wedding. Her and Colin have one of the cutest (and most fateful!) meeting stories I’ve ever heard. Back in 2007, Melissa called out of work “sick” and went to visit her Mom at her job at a small cafe. Her Mom mentioned that some guys had been in earlier and chatted with her, and that one of them (not Colin) asked if she had a daughter. This is Hilary & Don! The two of them had a pretty whirlwind experience getting together — meeting through friends, becoming friends themselves, and getting together… but then Don got deployed to Iraq. It was a long wait, but Hilary said they were back together within a couple months of his arrival, despite neither of them thinking they had a chance with the other. He proposed to her on New Year’s Eve 2010, and they had a quick 10 month engagement before celebrating on their wedding day!
