This is Meryl & Patrick! They initially contacted me for an engagement shoot in hopes that I would be able to photograph their wedding, too. Unfortunately they wound up getting married in Pennsylvania, as a courtesy to their elderly relatives, and while I LOVE to travel, we just couldn’t make it happen! But I feel lucky that I was able to meet up with them for this session. This is Hilary & Don! The two of them had a pretty whirlwind experience getting together — meeting through friends, becoming friends themselves, and getting together… but then Don got deployed to Iraq. It was a long wait, but Hilary said they were back together within a couple months of his arrival, despite neither of them thinking they had a chance with the other. He proposed to her on New Year’s Eve 2010, and they had a quick 10 month engagement before celebrating on their wedding day!
