This is Meryl & Patrick! They initially contacted me for an engagement shoot in hopes that I would be able to photograph their wedding, too. Unfortunately they wound up getting married in Pennsylvania, as a courtesy to their elderly relatives, and while I LOVE to travel, we just couldn’t make it happen! But I feel lucky that I was able to meet up with them for this session. They really wanted to do something in the fall, so there was beautiful foliage, and nature was important to them, so Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts became an obvious choice. Rachel + Derek | Engaged! | Portland, Maine Engagement Session | Fort Williams Engagement Session | Maine Engagement Photographer
This is Rachel & Derek! They were married in August 2012, but we did their engagement session in the colder months! It was important to them that we incorporate some harbor and boats into their photos, but birch trees were also meaningful to them (and very prominent at their wedding!). We decided to start the shoot in the Old Port in Portland, Maine, and then finish it up at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth to get the best of both worlds!
