This wedding at Caswell Farm in Gray, Maine was magical — live music, comedians, bonfires, cupcakes, food trucks, what more could you ask for? These two were referred to me by a colleague and friend of mine (thank you, Tricia!) and told me about their reception plans. They were going fairly untraditional with their plans — they didn’t even do a ceremony, just went right to the mingling and fun! — and wanted a “creative, talented, queer-friendly” photographer to be there to capture the fun in a more candid, documentary-style. This is Jared & Kirk! You might remember them from their Two Lights State Park engagement session (with their adorable pup, Vegas!). They had originally gotten in touch with me when I was running a contest for free wedding photography to celebrate the defeat of DOMA. A different couple won the contest, but lucky for me Jared & Kirk booked me anyway! Their day was so sweet and full of love.
