This is Claire & Dan! We actually did their engagement session only a couple weeks before their wedding. They booked me pretty last minute, and we thought it would be fun to meet and chat about their wedding and then go take some awesome photos! We started the shoot at the SMCC campus, since that’s where they were having their ceremony. It’s such an awesome area — there’s a great mix of ocean, rocky beach, lighthouse, older brick buildings, and new modern buildings. Rachel + Derek | Engaged! | Portland, Maine Engagement Session | Fort Williams Engagement Session | Maine Engagement Photographer
This is Rachel & Derek! They were married in August 2012, but we did their engagement session in the colder months! It was important to them that we incorporate some harbor and boats into their photos, but birch trees were also meaningful to them (and very prominent at their wedding!). We decided to start the shoot in the Old Port in Portland, Maine, and then finish it up at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth to get the best of both worlds!
