Portland, Maine Pet Portraits | This is Cathy and Mike and their sweet dog, Sophie! I was lucky enough to photograph their Boston wedding back in 2011 (where Sophie was the flower pup!), so I was honored to hear from Cathy again about doing a family session with the three of them! Sophie was getting a bit older and had a heart condition and they wanted to make sure they got some sweet, fun photos of her while she was still her lively self! They came up from MA for a couple days and we met up by East End Beach in Portland. We got to just walk around, talk, and let Sophie do her thing — which was mostly just sitting and sniffing the sea air, but also being chased around by Cathy and playing with dogs (and peeing in the ocean) on the beach! 😉 Sophie sadly passed away on Christmas Eve 2017 — I know Cathy & Mike have a huge hole in their hearts now, but I’m so happy I got to spend two occasions with Sophie and see her at her happiest!
