These engagement photos in downtown Portland, Maine were extra special because Jemila actually proposed to Carrie! They were on a trip to Maine to celebrate Carrie proposing to Jemila, but what Carrie didn’t know is that Jemila planned to return the favor… ON CAMERA! This post focuses on just their couple photos, really, since the engagement was so quick and personal. But I was incredibly honored to be present. Proposals are one of my FAVORITE things to photograph. I love helping couples have a special experience together and allow them to be themselves and truly have fun in the process. 🙂

These baby photos at home in Portland, Maine were everything they should be — comfortable, cuddly, fun, and so sweet! This is Bridget and Brad with their beautiful son, Jude. I was pregnant with my son at the time so seeing Jude — this wild, adventurous 6-month-old with such a personality — was a trip! We did their photos at their home in Portland so we could stay out of the winter cold and it was perfect. They got to sit all cozy in their livingroom, Jude got to play with all of his toys, and it just felt so natural and easy. My favorite!
