Loon Mountain Resort Wedding

This Loon Mountain Resort wedding — holy crap, where do I even start with the awesomeness of this day? Well, firstly, I knew Lauren and Jim were awesome from the first time we met at their Halloween-themed engagement session. If you know me, you know I LOOOOOVE Halloween more than most things, so the fact that they were so excited to get dressed up in the very Halloween costumes they met in… well, that was just great. They met at a Halloween pub crawl so it was only appropriate. 😉 They also got married at one of my favorite New England spots: Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, New Hampshire. It’s one of those places where you spend 75% of the drive on these curvy, corkscrew roads through the White Mountains and then you get there and you’re like… whoa, this is amazing. BUT THEN you get to the top of the mountain, where they had their ceremony, and you are just stunned by the beauty. It’s totally worth me overcoming my fear of gondolas (or chondolas, in this case) for the view, I swear. They even overcame some nasty rain in the forecast — thankfully the Loon Mountain staff stayed on hand with SEVERAL phones on hand with live storm radar so we’d know exactly when it was safe to run outside for a few photos. You can even see some rain drops in their First Look photos, and their family and couple photos were done in a HUGE hurry so we could all avoid getting poured on! Worth it — especially since we got to go back down the mountain for their gorgeous (and dry!) reception. 😉
