Kettle Cove Proposal | Whitman & Therez in Cape Elizabeth, Maine

This Kettle Cove proposal was the absolute sweetest — I love how much thought and planning went into making it perfect! Whitman got in touch with me several months in advance to set this up. He was living in Pittsburgh with his girlfriend, Therez. She was finishing up her doctorate and then they planned to move to Biddeford, Maine, so Whitman could attend medical school. What Therez didn’t know is that, during the trip to Maine to move his things, there would be a surprise wedding proposal! He even arranged for both of their families to be there for the whole event, and had Therez’s best friend show up as a DOUBLE surprise! We had to change locations last minute — part of the benefit of having me there, someone who knows the area super well! — and I think Kettle Cove ended up being even MORE beautiful than our original plan. When the two of them showed up, Therez was shocked to see her best friend… and then she turned around to Whitman down on one knee. Amazing!
