Falmouth, Maine Family Photos at Mackworth Island | Jared & Kirk!

These Falmouth, Maine family photos at Mackworth Island were too fun to even be considered work — these four are THE BEST. When I first met Jared and Kirk for their Two Lights State Park engagement photos, they were just a family of three with their pup, Vegas. I later photographed their amazing Camp Ketcha wedding, full of so much love and celebration. Then I got the call that they were adopting a baby boy… Zak. I teared up when I first got their voicemail, I was just so happy for these two (well three, sorry Vegas!) and knew without a single doubt that they would be the best parents. We did at-home family photos when Zak was tiny and oh man, the love was palpable. They were already so committed to this tiny babe and all I could think was how lucky he was to get placed with this family. This time we adventured out to Mackworth Island in Falmouth, Maine, and seeing how much Zak has grown and blossomed and how adventurous and fearless he is… well, I’m not surprised at all. Jared and Kirk are loving and warm, they discipline while also teaching, they’re understanding… watching them parent is inspiring, and it was SO FUN to find all kinds of treasures on this island — like the overgrown tennis court! — with these four!
