Cape Elizabeth, Maine Birthday Party | Morgan & Family!

This Cape Elizabeth, Maine birthday party was so much fun — I love being there for family events like this, since it perfectly blends my love of families and portraits with candid shots!

I had met Morgan when I was photographing the Junior League of Portland, Maine. Her son’s first birthday party was coming up and she wanted to make sure she had great photos of the get-together. I think hiring someone for this is perfect. So many of us want photos of important events but when we’re the ones tasked with doing it, we miss out on lots of little moments and interactions. This way, Morgan got to be fully present with all of her friends and family while I got to work!

Her little guy, Graeme, was born with a complex congenital heart defect and had many doctor’s appointments and surgeries in his first year, but you’d never know it — he is the happiest, most smiley little baby! He didn’t seem to care about WHY everyone was there, just that they were all cooing at him and giving him attention. 🙂
