Sarah + Eric | Married! 06.23.12 | St. Pius V Church Wedding | Oceanview Wedding | Massachusetts Wedding Photographer

This is Sarah & Eric! Sarah was recommended to me by Lisa (who you may remember from her and Chris’s two engagement sessions, and their September wedding!), so I was excited to work with her from the get-go (any friends of Lisa & Chris are already awesome in my book!). I met Sarah at her grandmother’s house, where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. It was such a great spot — very special to her, and a lovely home! We got a bunch of getting ready photos and some portraits outside before I headed over to Eric’s parents’ house to get some shots of him and the guys outside. The ceremony was at St. Pius V Church in Lynn, Massachusetts. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, until… the clouds moved in quickly and it started POURING before Sarah arrived in the limo. Oops! There was lots of tension and excitement in the church, everyone wondering if Sarah made it through the rain okay (she totally did). The rain (and thunder!) continued throughout the ceremony, and Sarah & Eric made a mad dash to their getaway car (not before grabbing a few photos!). When we arrived at Oceanview in Nahant for the reception, we found out the mini storm had knocked out the power – aah! – but luckily the weather immediately cleared and everything was all set. We were able to take some beautiful photos on the beach, and even caught a rainbow at the end! A first. 😉
