This is Melissa & Dylan! I was excited about their day from my very first e-mails with Dylan. One of the things he mentioned was this: “We want it to be colorful and beautiful, a balance between fun while still being an important event. We’d like our guests to feel like they came to something different from other weddings they have been to.” I just love this! An emphasis on beauty while making sure people have a good time — a perfect combination, and they pulled it off wonderfully. We started off at their apartment while they got ready together, which I think is awesome. They were able to spend some time with their bunny and be in the comfort of their own home, even while Melissa had to be sewn into her (stunning!) dress by my amazing assistant, Cortney (the zipper wouldn’t go up!). 😉 Their ceremony was at the Temple of Love in Larz Anderson Park — such a gorgeous place all around, and the temple really is something else. It was an intimate, laid-back ceremony — very quick! — and then we took a few photos there before heading to The Milky Way Lounge in Jamaica Plain for an equally relaxed reception filled with people enjoying the outdoor seating, eating delicious vegan goodies, and dancing!
