Katie + Joel | Married! 10.08.11 | Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Wedding | The Portland Club Wedding

This is Katie & Joel! They returned to their home state of Maine in 2007 for Joel to attend law school, and couldn’t think of a more perfect place to have their wedding. They had their ceremony at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, Maine, and did something a bit unique. Their ceremony ended around 2:00pm, but their reception, at The Portland Club (one of my all-time favorite spots in the Portland area!), didn’t start until 5:00pm. This gave their guests a chance to relax and unwind after the ceremony, as well as encouraging them to explore the great city of Portland! We also took advantage of this, and had ample time for portraits after the ceremony, which we did on the East End. The reception was fantastic — people had a wonderful time, lots of crazy dancing, and tons of PIE!
