Katherine + Jamie | Married! 01.18.14 | Kerlerec House Wedding | Buffa's Wedding

This is Katherine & Jamie! Katherine found me on Offbeat Bride and I literally SQUEALED when I got her e-mail — a 20-30’s jazz age theme wedding in New Orleans!!? Sign me up!! Her and Jamie are from Massachusetts and most of Katherine’s family is in Illinois but they decided to tie the knot in New Orleans because, well, it’s awesome! They rented the entire Kerlerec House — right on the edge of the French Quarter — for the whole long weekend, so everyone (including myself and my assistant, my sister-in-law!) could stay together! They did their ceremony and reception right at the hotel compound — there was an amazing courtyard and it was perfect for their intimate crowd. We headed down to Louis Armstrong Park for the more formal photos (which was gorgeous!) and then it was a nice cocktail hour (or two) back at the hotel before heading to Buffa’s for dinner and king cake! The next day their good friend and officiant took a bunch of us on a tour of the city — he had lived in New Orleans and been a tour guide for several years, so he really knew his stuff. It was so awesome to get to spend the weekend with Katherine & Jamie and their amazing group of friends and family, AND to see this incredible city on top of it! Such an unforgettable experience!
