instagram monday

Instagram Monday! 08/04/13 – 08/11/13

I’m a little late, but here’s my INSTAGRAM MONDAY roundup! It was a busy week, per usual this time of year, but awesome — as always. 🙂

A HUGE branch fell off our willow tree into our back yard. It had obviously been wanting to fall for a while, but just cracked right off very randomly. HUUUGE!

Our pup ate lots of leaves!

One of our kitties hung out on top of the neighbor’s shed. She’s a creeper.

We had my brother and his girlfriend over for dinner and hung out in the yard!

We also made THE MOST AMAZING Reese’s s’mores. Drool.

My mom brought over a new (disgusting) chew toy/treat for the pup. She loved it, and was occupied for HOURS.

My (very nerdy) husband finally got a bike helmet!

I saw this view out of my office window a few times. 🙂

On Friday we headed out on a road trip!!! Our friends Jeremy & Jenna got married at his mom’s farm in upstate New York.

We stopped at Flatbread in Portsmouth for some pizza (and yummy cider).

It rained about 90% of our drive there. Laaaame.

But it gave way to the most beautiful sunset!

We woke up to THIS on our first morning there. Gorgeous green grass and blue sky outside our tent.

Silo!

We had breakfast at this cute little spot in Boonville, New York.

We spent lots of time lounging in the sun.

The reception spot all set up. Perfect!

I made a new friend (who climbed onto my purse later – he clearly wanted to come home with me).

My husband jammin’ on the morning we left.

We headed home Sunday morning… with much better weather!

Bought some fresh picked blueberries at a rest stop farm stand!

Waited way too long for lunch so we could indulge in some Five Guys!

I always love seeing this bridge!

My husband cuddled on my office floor with our pup. 🙂

Went for a walk and saw some beautiful Queen Anne’s Lace.

My tomatoes are doing SO WELL. This is only a few out of the maybe 15 tomatoes of various sizes that are growing. They’re all still green, though. :/

Aaaaand, to round out the week, The Bengal decided he loves hanging out under the kitchen sink. Doing very important things, clearly.

I am a veteran reconnected with my first love 20yrs later. All was well until I realized I was suffering from PTSD. He came from Alaska so we would marry. Sadly my PTSD decided for us that we wouldn’t be marrying. He is leaving tomorrow and declared that is was now or never. I am so heart broKen that to stay busy was what brought me to your site. I saw so many beautiful pictures and so much love and finally a picture of my hometown diner. I used to go there before combat with my family. Thank you for bringing such beautful light to what I was so looking for. I feel like it was such a coincidence. Amazing talent. THANK YOU
