Holiday Family Session in Portland, Maine | Carissa & Marc!

This holiday family session in Portland, Maine with Carissa and Marc (and her parents) was full of SO much laughter! I photographed Carissa and Marc once before, so when they got back in touch saying her parents would be in town visiting from New Jersey, I was happy to meet up with them again. I was doing some mini sessions in Portland’s Old Port and it was perfect timing. The weather was brisk but not too cold, the architecture was gorgeous (as always), and the lobster trap Christmas tree was on display!

Mini sessions have become a new favorite of mine, particularly for photoshoots like this one. For families with small children or larger families I recommend doing full-length sessions, but when it’s just a few adults, mini sessions (which are 30 minutes long) are PERFECT. It’s just enough time to get comfortable in front of the camera and get some happy photos without feeling like you’re smiling for hours on end. 😉
