On the Marsh Bistro Wedding | Emily & Alain!

This On the Marsh Bistro wedding in Kennebunk, Maine was an amazing mix of elegant and unbridled fun! You might remember them from their absolutely joy-filled engagement session, which also took place in Kennebunk! I mentioned there about how much I liked Emily from our very first e-mails, and that is totally true. She told me about how she is originally from Massachusetts but her parents now live in Kennebunkport for half the year, and she had spent the past 20 years spending summers there, so it was a natural first choice when they thought about where to get married! Alain is from Brussels, Belgium, they live in San Francisco, and they got engaged in Paris — to say these two are well-traveled is an understatement. 😉 But the thing that I loved the most about them is their PRESENCE. You can’t help but notice them even from a distance — Emily is 5’11” and Alain is 6’5″ — but these two just radiate joy. They smile widely, laugh loudly, and they welcome people in their lives fully and without reservation. Meeting them was like becoming lifelong friends in an instant, which is such an amazingly rare and awesome thing! She described how the wedding would be filled with lots of their friends and family, and lots of “crazy French-speaking Belgians”, so I was on board immediately. 😉 The whole day did not disappoint — a beautiful outdoor ceremony, awesome artwork all around, and tons of DANCING!
