Cape Neddick Wedding | Allison & Duy!

This Cape Neddick wedding with Allison & Duy and their amazing family and friends was the perfect casual, backyard celebration! You might remember them from their Arnold Arboretum engagement session. 🙂 These two met in Austin, Texas when they were both undergrads. They had been together for almost 10 years by the time their wedding came around, but as Allison said, they weren’t considering the day so much a wedding as a commitment ceremony. They wanted to keep everything low-key and keep everyone involved in the day so they weren’t quite the center of attention the WHOLE time. 😉 They had their celebration at Allison’s aunt and uncle’s home in Cape Neddick, Maine, and I think it was the perfect setting for them — quiet, lush, and set back in the woods a bit for privacy. I was especially honored that Allison mentioned wanting to find a photographer who their friends and family — many of whom are LGBTQ — would feel comfortable with. 🙂 They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and so many special touches throughout the day — they had friends play music and sing for them both during the ceremony and reception, Duy’s parents cooked the Vietnamese food they had for their casual dinner, and it ultimately just really felt like they had truly included everyone in the day rather than just having them along to watch. So sweet!
